Medical Tourism CRM vs Bitrix24
Bitrix24 is an enormous amount of software for the money — CRM, tasks, telephony, a website builder and an intranet, all for one flat fee. It is also the reason people describe it as overwhelming. Breadth is not the same as depth, and a medical tourism agency needs depth in exactly one place.
Short answer
Bitrix24 and Medical Tourism CRM both charge a flat price per organisation rather than per user, so this is not a per-seat argument — and at the same monthly price Bitrix24 includes far more users than we do. The difference is depth. Medical Tourism CRM is built for one industry, so procedures, clinical intake, treatment packages, suppliers, visas, flights, hotels and multi-currency quoting work on the first day. Bitrix24 is a broad business suite where those concepts do not exist until you build them, alongside a great deal of functionality an agency will never open. Choose Bitrix24 if you want one low-cost system for your whole company; choose the purpose-built option if the patient pipeline is the thing that has to work properly.

Which should you choose?
Choose Medical Tourism CRM if…
- Medical tourism is your business, not one line of it.
- You want procedures, packages, suppliers and travel working today, not after a build.
- You are hiring, and you refuse to pay more software every time you do.
- You quote in several currencies to patients in several countries.
- Your team works in Arabic or Turkish as well as English.
- Nobody on your team wants to become a CRM administrator.
Choose Bitrix24 if…
- You want one low-cost system for the whole company, not just the patient pipeline.
- You need telephony, an intranet, a website builder and task management bundled.
- You have a large team and headcount per dollar is the deciding factor.
- You want an on-premise option rather than cloud only.
- You have someone willing to configure it, and time to spend doing so.
We would rather tell you this than sell you the wrong thing. If that list is you, Bitrix24 is genuinely the better choice.
What is a medical tourism CRM?
A medical tourism CRM is customer relationship management software built for agencies and clinics whose patients travel from another country for treatment. It differs from a general CRM in what it models: a general CRM tracks a sale, while a medical tourism CRM has to track a treatment and a journey — a clinical assessment, a quote made of surgery and hotel and transfers in different currencies, a visa that may or may not arrive in time, a surgery date that cannot move, and a patient who is nervous and a long way from home.
That difference is not cosmetic. In a sales CRM a deal has an amount and a close date. In medical tourism the equivalent record has a procedure, a suitability decision, a supplier with an agreed rate, a margin that only exists once you subtract what the hospital charges you, a set of travel bookings, and a portal the patient themselves will look at. None of those are fields you can bolt on and call finished — they are relationships between things a general CRM has no concept of.
This is why the comparison below is not really “which CRM has more features”. Bitrix24 has far more features than we do, and a much bigger ecosystem. The question is whether the features you need for this industry are ones you get, or ones you build.
On pricing model, we agree with Bitrix24
Most comparison pages would run the per-seat argument here. It does not apply: Bitrix24 charges a flat rate per organisation, exactly as we do, and at the same price they include more users. If cost per head is your deciding factor, this section will not persuade you — and it should not.
Bitrix24
flat price per organisation
| Plan | Per month | Users |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | $49 | 5 |
| Standard | $99 | 50 |
| Professional | $199 | 100 |
| Enterprise | $399 | 250 |
Medical Tourism CRM
flat price per organisation
| Plan | Per month | Users |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $49 | 3 |
| Business | $99 | 10 |
| Enterprise | $249 | Unlimited |
Bitrix24 cloud pricing read from bitrix24.com in August 2026, flat per organisation with the user allowance included in the plan; Enterprise is tiered from 250 users upward and only its entry point is shown. Bitrix24 also has a free plan for 1–2 users. Note what this table shows: at $99 a month Bitrix24 includes 50 users against our 10. On seats per dollar they win, and no amount of framing changes that. Bitrix24’s pricing page is the authority; both companies change their prices, so check before you decide. Our plans include their user allowance in the price — Starter 3 users, Business 10, Enterprise unlimited — and each also carries a monthly lead allowance.
Both flat
Neither of us charges per seat. On billing model Bitrix24 and Medical Tourism CRM agree, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
More seats
At the same monthly price Bitrix24 includes more users than we do. If headcount per dollar is what you are optimising for, they win that line.
Day one
When procedures, packages, suppliers and travel start working — because they are already built.
The subscription is not the whole cost
Total cost of ownership is the subscription plus setup, customisation, training and the ongoing time of whoever maintains it. On a purpose-built product most of that is absorbed by the vendor. On a general CRM you are buying a platform and supplying the rest yourself — either as an invoice from a partner or as evenings from someone on your team. Whatever number you put on that, it belongs in the comparison, and it appears on neither pricing page.
What each one does on the day you sign up
Out of the box, with no consultant and no custom development. Amber means Bitrix24 can do it — once you, or someone you pay, has built it.
Lead pipeline, tasks & reporting
The universal CRM basics. Both do this well, and Bitrix24 adds project management on top.
Email marketing & automation
Campaigns, segments, triggered sequences. Both include this.
Web forms & lead capture API
Enquiries from your website landing in the CRM with source and campaign attached.
Live chat widget
Both have one. Bitrix24's is part of a wider contact centre; ours is multi-language with right-to-left support and converts a visitor straight into a lead.
Built-in telephony & call centre
Call handling, recording and routing as part of the product.
Intranet, task management & company tools
Projects, document management, HR and internal social tools bundled in.
On-premise / self-hosted option
Running the whole system on your own infrastructure.
Patient readiness scoring
One score from clinical fit, budget and funding, visa and travel feasibility, and intent — so the agent knows who to call first.
Clinical intake per procedure
BMI bands, contraindications and medication history, with answers that automatically disqualify.
Visa & travel eligibility rules
Nationality plus destination decides whether the requested surgery date is even reachable.
Flights, hotels, transfers & surgery dates
The trip attached to the patient record, not a spreadsheet a coordinator keeps separately.
Treatment package builder
Line-item packages with cost and client price, versioned so last quarter's quote is still reproducible.
Hospital, clinic & hotel suppliers
Contracts, agreed procedure rates, documents, ratings and complaint history per supplier.
Competitor price tracking per procedure
What the clinic down the road quotes for the same operation, next to your own margin.
Per-item multi-currency quoting
Bitrix24 handles multiple currencies; per-line-item cost against client price across three currencies, with a correct base-currency total, is still a build.
Patient portal
The patient checks their own treatment and travel status without emailing a coordinator.
Medical intake questionnaires
Structured forms the patient fills in, with answers landing on the record rather than in an inbox.
Agent commission engine
Per-agent commission calculated from booked treatment value, with payout tracking.
Interactive, tracked proposals
Bitrix24 has quotes and invoices; a treatment proposal you can watch the patient open, with the decline reason captured, is a build.
Medical-tourism reporting
Cost per booked patient by source, margin by procedure, conversion by nationality.
Arabic & Turkish interface with full RTL
Both are localised. Ours is configured for medical tourism out of the box.
Focused on one job
Every screen in ours is about patients travelling for treatment. Bitrix24's breadth is its strength and, for a small agency, its learning curve.
Bitrix24 is a genuinely powerful platform, and almost every amber row can be closed with custom development, marketplace add-ons or a partner. This table is about what arrives working, not about what is possible.
Where a general CRM stops helping
Follow one patient from enquiry to aftercare. The first stage is identical in both. By the third they have diverged, and by the last they are different products.
Enquiry arrives
A general CRM: A lead with a name, an email and a free-text message. Fine — every CRM does this.
Ours: The same, plus procedure, category, source website, campaign and language, captured on arrival and routed to the right agent.
Qualifying the patient
A general CRM: The agent asks whatever they remember to ask, and types it into a notes field nobody can report on.
Ours: A clinical intake per procedure — BMI, medication, contraindications — with answers that can disqualify automatically before anyone wastes a call.
Deciding who to call first
A general CRM: Whoever emailed most recently, or whoever the agent likes the look of.
Ours: A readiness score combining clinical fit, funding, visa feasibility and intent, so the queue is ordered by who is actually ready to book.
Quoting
A general CRM: A spreadsheet, exported and emailed. It drifts out of sync with the CRM the moment anything changes.
Ours: A package built from line items with cost and client price, in whichever currencies the surgery, hotel and patient use.
The patient says yes
A general CRM: A deal marked Won. What happens next lives in somebody's head.
Ours: Flights, hotel, transfer, surgery date and post-op check on the record, with a calendar that treats a surgery date as immovable.
While they travel
A general CRM: The patient emails the coordinator for updates. The coordinator forwards it to whoever knows.
Ours: A patient portal showing their own treatment and travel status, and a WhatsApp thread logged against the record.
After treatment
A general CRM: The deal is closed. Margin is a guess and commission is a spreadsheet.
Ours: Real margin per patient from cost against client price, agent commission calculated automatically, and the supplier rated for next time.
What “we’ll just customise Bitrix24” actually involves
Every agency that has tried this can list the same jobs. None of them are hard on their own. Together they are a project, and the project never quite finishes.
Custom objects
Procedures, packages, suppliers, flights, hotels, transfers and surgeries do not exist in a sales CRM. Each becomes a custom object with its own fields, layouts, permissions and relationships.
Scoring logic
A readiness score that weighs clinical fit against visa feasibility is not a lead-scoring rule. It is custom logic, and it needs re-tuning as you learn which patients actually book.
Quoting and margin
Multi-currency at line-item level, cost versus client price, and package versioning — usually a custom build, or an exported spreadsheet that drifts out of sync.
The patient-facing side
A portal, medical intake forms and tracked proposals are separate products in a general CRM's world, each configured and styled by you.
Reporting that means anything
Cost per booked patient by source, margin by procedure, agent commission owed. Generic dashboards do not know what a booked patient is until you teach them.
Keeping it alive
Every custom object is something you maintain. New procedure, new destination, new agent — the person who built it has to come back.
How the first three months usually go
Day 1
Sign up, add your procedures and pipeline stages, drop the form snippet on your site. Enquiries are arriving and the pipeline is live.
Account created. A capable CRM plus a great deal of other software. Nothing yet knows what a procedure is, and the team is still finding the screens they need.
Week 1
Clinical quizzes per procedure and visa policies configured. Scoring is running. The team is trained, because the screens already describe their job.
Deciding which of the many modules you will actually use, and turning the rest off so people are not lost in them. Custom fields for procedures being planned.
Month 1
Suppliers, packages and commissions in daily use. Reporting on real margin.
Custom fields and smart-process automation configured for treatments. Quoting still in a spreadsheet. The patient-facing side has not been started.
Month 3
Band thresholds auto-calibrating against your own conversion data.
Working well, and doing a lot for the money. The medical-tourism parts are yours to maintain, and whoever configured them is the only one who understands them.
Illustrative, not a quotation. How long customisation takes depends entirely on how much you need and who does it — an agency with a Bitrix24 specialist in-house will move much faster than one briefing an outside partner.
What matters most, by type of agency
Hair transplant agencies
High volume, price-sensitive and heavily comparison-shopped. Graft counts and technique belong in the clinical intake, competitor price tracking keeps your quote defensible, and readiness scoring stops agents burning a day on enquiries that were never going to travel.
Dental clinics & agencies
Multi-visit treatment plans that need a second trip months later. Packages with versions keep the original quote intact, and the travel record handles two separate journeys against one patient.
Bariatric & weight-loss surgery
The clinical intake matters most here: BMI bands and comorbidities decide eligibility before anyone quotes. Automatic disqualifiers stop unsuitable patients being sold a trip they cannot take.
Aesthetic & plastic surgery
Long consideration, heavy WhatsApp contact, before-and-after documents. Logged WhatsApp threads and files on the patient record keep the whole conversation in one place.
Fertility & IVF
Cycles are date-critical and often repeat. A calendar that treats a treatment date as fixed, plus a patient portal for people managing something stressful from another country.
Eye surgery & other specialisms
Shorter trips, simpler packages, but the same need for suitability checks, multi-currency quoting and travel that is actually booked rather than assumed.
The things only a medical tourism CRM thinks about
Patient Readiness Score
Clinical fit, funding, visa feasibility and intent in one explainable number, so the agent calls the patient most likely to book — not the one who emailed most recently.
The whole trip on the record
Flights, hotel, transfer, surgery and post-op check against the patient, with a calendar that understands a surgery date cannot move casually.
Suppliers as relationships
Hospitals, clinics and hotels with agreed rates, contracts, documents and a complaint history — not a text field with a phone number in it.
Money in the right currency
Surgery in euros, hotel in lira, patient paying in pounds, and a base-currency total you can still report on.
Proposals patients answer
Interactive treatment proposals you can see them open, with the reason captured when they say no.
Arabic and Turkish, properly
Full right-to-left layout, not a translated string in a left-to-right shell — because your coordinators and your patients are not all working in English.
Where Bitrix24 is the better choice
Comparison pages that claim the competitor is bad at everything are not worth reading. Here is where Bitrix24 genuinely wins.
Far more software for the money
CRM, tasks and projects, telephony, an intranet, a website builder, HR tools and document management on one flat bill. Judged on breadth per dollar, very little competes with Bitrix24 and we do not pretend to.
More users at the same price
Bitrix24 Standard includes 50 users for $99 a month; our Business plan includes 10 at the same price. For a large team that difference is real money.
A genuinely usable free plan
Free for 1–2 users with no expiry, which is a reasonable way to try the CRM before committing. We run a 7-day trial instead.
On-premise deployment
Bitrix24 can be self-hosted. If your data governance requires the database inside your own building, we cannot do that and they can.
Telephony and contact centre built in
Call handling, recording and a contact centre are part of the product rather than an integration. If your agency runs on outbound calling from one system, that matters.
You want your whole company on one tool
If the patient pipeline is one process among many — HR, projects, internal comms — a suite that covers all of them may beat a specialist that covers one properly.
How to switch from Bitrix24 without losing anything
Nothing here requires a developer, and both systems can run side by side while you check.
- 1
Export your CRM data
Bitrix24 exports Leads, Deals, Contacts and Companies to CSV, including custom fields you added.
- 2
Set up your structure first
Configure procedures, categories, pipeline stages and lead sources to match what you already use, so the import lands in a shape your team recognises.
- 3
Import with field mapping
The importer maps your columns onto patient fields, including custom ones, and flags duplicates before anything is written.
- 4
Point your forms at the new intake
Swap the Bitrix24 form or widget for our form snippet, or send enquiries to the lead-intake API with your agency key. Both systems can run in parallel while you check.
- 5
Keep what still earns its place
Plenty of agencies keep Bitrix24 for tasks, telephony or the intranet and move only the patient pipeline. That is a sensible outcome, not a failed migration — you are not obliged to replace everything at once.
Glossary
- Medical tourism CRM
- Customer relationship management software built specifically for agencies and clinics treating patients who travel from abroad. It differs from a general CRM by modelling the treatment and the trip, not just the sale.
- Patient readiness score
- A single figure combining clinical suitability, ability to pay, travel and visa feasibility, and demonstrated intent, used to decide which enquiry to contact first.
- Clinical intake
- A short structured questionnaire per procedure — height, weight, medication, contraindications — used to check a patient is suitable before quoting.
- Per-seat pricing
- Software billed per user per month, so the bill increases every time you hire. The opposite of flat, per-agency pricing.
- Total cost of ownership
- The full cost of running software: subscription plus setup, customisation, training, and the ongoing time of whoever maintains it.
- Treatment package
- A quotable bundle of line items — surgery, hotel nights, transfers, aftercare — each with a cost price and a client price, so margin is visible before the quote is sent.
- Patient portal
- A private page where a patient can check their own treatment and travel status without contacting a coordinator.
- Multi-tenant
- One application serving many agencies, with each agency's data isolated from every other. Every record in this CRM is scoped to the agency that owns it.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best CRM for a medical tourism agency?
+
For an agency whose main business is medical tourism, a purpose-built CRM is normally the better choice, because procedures, clinical intake, treatment packages, suppliers, visas and travel are modelled from the start rather than added as custom fields. A broad business suite such as Bitrix24 is the better choice when you want one inexpensive system covering the whole company — CRM, tasks, telephony, intranet — and are willing to configure the industry-specific parts yourself.
Is Bitrix24 cheaper than Medical Tourism CRM?
+
For larger teams, usually yes. Bitrix24 Standard is $99 per month for up to 50 users; our Business plan is $99 per month for up to 10. Both are flat per-organisation prices with no per-seat charge, so if cost per head is your deciding factor Bitrix24 wins that comparison and we would rather say so than dress it up. What you are weighing against it is how much of a medical-tourism workflow you would have to build yourself.
Does Bitrix24 charge per user?
+
No. Bitrix24 charges a flat rate per organisation with a user allowance included in each plan, and their own pricing page says customers keep adding users within the plan limit and pay the same amount. We use the same model. This is one of the few CRM comparisons where the per-seat argument genuinely does not apply.
Can Bitrix24 be used for medical tourism?
+
Yes, and its low cost makes it a common starting point. Bitrix24's CRM is flexible, with custom fields and smart process automation. The work is the same as with any general CRM: procedures, packages, suppliers, travel and the patient-facing side do not exist until you build them, and whoever builds them owns them afterwards.
Why is Bitrix24 considered complicated?
+
Because it does a great deal. CRM, tasks, projects, telephony, an intranet, a website builder and document management all ship together, which is excellent value and a lot of surface area for a small team to learn. Agencies commonly spend their first weeks deciding what to switch off. A single-purpose product avoids that by not having the other modules at all — which is a real advantage and a real limitation, depending on what you need.
What does Bitrix24 include that you do not?
+
Built-in telephony and contact centre, task and project management, an intranet with internal social tools, a website builder, document management, and an on-premise deployment option. If your agency needs those, Bitrix24 covers them in the same flat fee and we do not cover them at all.
What do you include that Bitrix24 does not?
+
The medical-tourism layer: patient readiness scoring across clinical fit, funding, visa feasibility and intent; per-procedure clinical intake with automatic disqualifiers; visa and travel eligibility rules; flights, hotels, transfers and surgery dates on the patient record; treatment packages with cost against client price; hospital and hotel suppliers with agreed rates and contracts; competitor price tracking; a patient portal; and an agent commission engine. In Bitrix24 each of those is something you would design and build.
How long does setup take compared with configuring Bitrix24?
+
Medical Tourism CRM is usable on the first day, because procedures, packages, suppliers and travel already exist — setup is entering your own procedures and pipeline stages. Configuring Bitrix24 for medical tourism means custom fields, smart process automation and deciding which of its many modules your team should see, which is typically weeks rather than days, and continues as your needs change.
Can we move our data across from Bitrix24?
+
Yes. Export Leads, Deals, Contacts and Companies to CSV, including custom fields, then import with field mapping and duplicate flagging. Both systems can run in parallel while you check, and many agencies keep Bitrix24 for tasks or telephony and move only the patient pipeline.
Does Bitrix24 have a patient portal?
+
Not for medical tourism as standard. Bitrix24 has client-facing features and a website builder you could use to construct something similar, but a portal showing a patient their treatment plan, surgery date and travel arrangements is a build. Medical Tourism CRM includes one as standard.
Can Bitrix24 track flights, hotels and surgery dates?
+
Only if you build it. They are not concepts a general business suite has, so each becomes custom fields or a smart process attached to the deal, plus a calendar that treats a surgery date as immovable. In Medical Tourism CRM the whole trip is part of the patient record already.
Do you support Arabic and Turkish?
+
Yes, including full right-to-left layout rather than translated text inside a left-to-right interface. Bitrix24 is also localised into many languages; the difference is that ours is a medical-tourism interface in those languages rather than a general one.
Why don't you charge per user?
+
Because charging per seat punishes you for hiring. A medical tourism agency adds coordinators in season and takes on part-time translators; your software bill should not move every time. Bitrix24 reached the same conclusion, which is why this page does not make a per-seat argument against them.
What happens when we outgrow a plan's user limit?
+
You move up a plan. Starter covers 3 users, Business 10, and Enterprise is unlimited at a flat price. Bitrix24 works the same way with more generous allowances — Basic 5, Standard 50, Professional 100.
Do we need a developer or a consultant to run it?
+
For ours, no. Configuration is done in settings — procedures, pipeline stages, lead sources, clinical quizzes, visa policies — and no part of normal use requires code. Bitrix24 does not strictly require a developer either, but shaping it around medical tourism is a configuration project, and many agencies engage a partner for it.
Is it suitable for a clinic as well as an agency?
+
Yes. Clinics taking international patients directly use the same patient record, clinical intake, travel coordination and packages. The supplier module is more useful to agencies working with several hospitals, but nothing depends on it.
How is our patient data kept separate from other agencies?
+
Every record is scoped to your agency and every query is filtered by it, so one agency cannot read or write another's data. Access within your own team is controlled by roles and per-user permissions, every create, update and delete is written to an audit log, and two-factor authentication is available for accounts that want it.
We already run Bitrix24 for our whole company. Should we switch?
+
Probably not entirely. If Bitrix24 runs your tasks, telephony and intranet well, there is little sense in throwing that away. The question worth asking is narrower: whether your patient pipeline is being served properly by custom fields on a deal, or whether it deserves a system that already understands clinical suitability, visas, travel and margin. Running the pipeline here and keeping Bitrix24 for the rest is a normal outcome.
Can we try it before switching?
+
Yes. Every plan starts with a 7-day trial with all modules unlocked and no card required. Importing a sample of real enquiries is the fastest way to judge it, because the readiness score and the reports only mean anything against your own patients.
Which is better for a hair transplant agency in Turkey?
+
For a Turkey-based hair transplant agency the purpose-built option is usually the stronger fit: per-procedure clinical intake for graft counts and technique, competitor price tracking in a market where patients compare quotes closely, multi-currency quoting, and a Turkish and Arabic interface built for this workflow. Bitrix24 would be the better answer if you also need telephony, task management and an intranet for a larger organisation on one bill.
Does the price go up as we add more patients?
+
The plan sets a monthly lead allowance — 500 on Starter, 2,000 on Business, unlimited on Enterprise — so growth is handled by moving up a plan rather than by a bill that changes every month. There is no per-record charge.
Try it against your own pipeline
Seven days, every module unlocked, no card. Import a few real enquiries and see whether a CRM that already understands medical tourism saves your team the work.
